People of different ages and classes

1. The field of non-formal education will be expanded to provide academic and practical knowledge, skills and information to people of different ages and categories according to their needs.

Under this policy, the following written strategies will be adopted:

♦ Adults, women and youth Will be made literate. ♦ Through alternative school education, opportunities for school education will be provided to those who cannot go to school and those who drop out. ♦ Vocational education will be arranged for those who cannot attend school education. ♦ Equivalent school level education will be provided through open schools. ♦ People with different levels of educational ability and skills will be given the opportunity to receive continuous education. ♦ Oral literacy campaign will be conducted for awareness. ♦ Higher level equivalent education will be provided through open university.

Strategy

The following strategies will be implemented to implement the above policies and tactics:

♦ Non-formal education based on educational information system. To prepare a village-town education plan and to develop this plan as a part of the district periodical plan and district education plan. ♦ Encouraging educational institutions to run open schools. ♦ Non-governmental organizations, educational institutions and community study centers to arrange continuous education for people with different levels of educational ability. ♦ Conducting oral literacy programs using discussion sessions and various means of communication. ♦ Linking post-literate education with income generation programs. ♦ Incorporating life skills into reading content and teaching style. ♦ Until a separate open university is opened, providing higher level equivalent education from the organizations that conduct higher education programs.
